NAIA is a global experimental collaboration between vocalist Malena Perez (P-Vine, Mobilee, Objektivity) and electronica/bass producers FIRST AID, Stiver, blacksix and Godfather Sage. Moody, reflective and deep, the first release is a four-track downtempo EP infused with soulful, melancholic vocals, expansive chords and driving basslines. Thematically, NAIA explores the shadow side of human emotion while planting seeds of healing.
lyrics
trees are turning, leaves are blowing
thru the hair i just shaved
and i find myself thinking about you
cause it's hard to tell what's goin on
i can barely read you when you're open
and now closed you are
nothing mattered, all i wanted
was a happy ending
but we got there a little too soon
and this complicated fabrication
of your journey to yourself
has left our lovelight no room
and it's hard to tell what's goin on
i can barely read you when you're open
and now closed you are
yeah it's hard to tell what's goin on
i can barely read you when you're open
and now closed you are
trees are turning, leaves are blowing
thru the hair i just shaved
and i find myself thinking about you
violet morning following shadows
of the hell we both made
but i'm feeling more steady without you
and i seem to hear you in my mind
i been talking to you like you're right here
ever how closed you are
and it's hard to tell what's goin on i been
it's hard to tell
it's hard to tell what's goin on i been
it's hard to tell
and it's hard to tell, it's hard to tell
and it's hard to tell, it's hard to tell
